Stop Motion Animation
This class was a unique experience because it was taught by a guest artist, Chris Sickels. Chris is a 3D illustrator and stop-motion animator. Chris and Dave Szalay came together to teach students how to design and create in 3D. During the semester, each student designed and created a character and a vehicle to compete in a great race.
I created a steampunk hedgehog named Leslie, and her companion Bee. They raced in red airplane. We created the characters with a wire skeleton and clay, and this allowed us to be able to move the character during the shoot.
Stop motion is something that I would love to do more!
